I recently posted on my facebook page: What is your favorite thing about photography?
Well here is mine: Photography itself IS the most favorite thing. This is my passion and a never ending growing opportunity. It never stands still – there is always room to be more creative, try new things and learn more about it. It is not just pushing a button and hoping for the best. When you really dive in to it and leave all the creativity up to your fingertips (not those auto modes) you open yourself to a whole world of amazing possibility, and of course mistakes. It can take a whole lot of trial and error --- but I will save that subject for another day.
Not only do I thoroughly enjoy spending the time creating a vision (and the quality time with each and every client) but also the end result. I am so excited to get home and throw the SD card on the computer to start culling through them. Creating an art to show your friends, to share with your family and hang on your walls.
---And seeing the before & after flash across the screen when I save the changes – aaaaah, love love love! So satisfying!---
Your photo result is just as important to me as it is to you. When you look at that image you do not just see a quick snip… you see a story, you re-live a moment of when the photo was taken or a time that it represents. And our memories are important. Time travels quickly, change is inevitable and those we love could be gone tomorrow. It is a blessing to me to help create something that you will look back on fondly through your lifetime and your next generation.
So I cannot honestly say that I only have ONE favorite part about it. The entire start, middle and end of the process, the concept, the art and the history are my favorite thing(s).
