Declutter - Outside the Box BIG WIN

A little DIY - kind of!! but still a small victory!

I ---> surprisingly <--- cannot stand clutter. I like to be organized and have everything in its place but to be honest, having the time on my side to keep things that way seems impossible -cray-

So a sweet little lady I know asked me recently if I could use an old ladder for a prop or any other reason and I thought "um yes please!" IT HAS BEEN DRIVING ME CRAZY to have baskets of blankets everywhere with no real good storage area to keep them in. So piles of baby wraps, baby blankets, posers, props, headbands & bonnets have been ever piling in a variety of bags and baskets scattered through the abyss of my office/playroom (yes, half this space ends up being littered with toys). This ladder THANK YOU PINTEREST = problem solved (at least one of many).

I can nicely display a good chunk of my wraps & small blankets on the top rungs for easy access and create a lil' cubby (wooden box fit perfectly *WIN*) for a few others on the bottom. THEN I thought, hey I could hang a little basket on the side and shove all those bonnets & headbands in there -may need a bigger basket soon.

woohoo.

What are some of your favorite out of the box storage & display tricks?

All other props, bonnets & wraps from every Etsy shop there is. The remainder of the items probably came from either Hobby Lobby (FAVPLACE'EVA) or Home Goods (OTHERFAV).

My storage stuff:
-I have an old coat rack that I plan to add extra hooks to for bags and purses
-wire baskets:
one on the wall for dog things...it doesn't look the neatest; another in the bathroom for hand towels...small linen closet;
and one in the kitchen for utensils...not much drawer space.
-a refurbished lingerie chest...for odds and ends in the dining room

Thanks for the post Brande!! I have thought about putting some baskets on the wall - I am just not sure how I want to connect them so they are nice & sturdy!

I also have another old hutch I might have refurbished to match the one in the above picture but the two of them take up a lot of floor space so I might rethink it.
