I will be honest, after doing this for about 5+ years this was my very first summer offering sunset sessions. Can you believe that!? I know, I KNOW! That is just plain crazy considering it is one of the best times to shoot - the golden hour (we can talk about that another time)! But let me tell you what a fun (sometimes frustrating) learning experience it was. The weather and clouds play a huge role on whether or not you get those amazing shots. And Ohio weather, you just never know what you are going to get! (((good thing I married a "weatherman"))) Despite the possible doom&gloom of a rain out or overcast sunset, the end result is always worth every single second agonizing over the hope that the sun and the moon and the stars and the ducks align at the moment that client arrives on my doorstep. So I just have to share a little glimpse of my very last sunset session this season. I will be honest in saying - pure perfection.
We could not have asked for a better sunset for Eilene's sweet nine-month-baby-milk-bath. The sky was perfect, the weather was gorgeous and the model, need I even say anything?!
Oh and how she LOVED every second of it.
Snapping the shutter at just the right time and just the right angle are only a small part of a session. This particular session was a story, a moment in her life that her family will not forget. And the art of photography offers the gift of a memory, a keepsake to treasure throughout her lifetime. Dad knelt near, cell in hand recording her happy splashing away (PURE JOY). Mom & brother stood by me, looking lovingly at this beautiful little lady. We all smiled and swooned over her every move. Those eyes, how could you not?
She laughed, she played, (she tried to drink the milk). She was pure sweetness!
